Queen of Hearts Nails

Pink polish and red hearts. Laura DeRosier, our resident nail guru at Got Beauty put this sweet DIY manicure together for us to enjoy!

First:

Apply your base coat. Deborah Lippmann Quick Dry Base Coat works well for this.

Second:

Add two coats of your favorite pink. Laura used OPI Don't Know...Beets Me.

Third:

This part might take a little practice, so try it out on a plastic lid or plate first! Cut a toothpick in half and file the larger side down with a nail file until it's smooth. Dip the larger end in the red polish of your choice and create a bead of it on a plastic lid or plate. Dip your toothpick back in that bead and apply the dot or dots to the nail. Laura chose OPI Miami Beet. You can now use the pointy end of the toothpick to shape the circle into a heart!

Finally:

Finish with OPI Dripdry to dry and seal your little masterpieces.

For a longer lasting look, visit Laura at Got Beauty and get the Queen of Hearts manicure in shellac. Shellac is a polish hybrid that looks like a polish and stays chip free for 2-3 weeks.
