One of our favorite new trends in makeup for 2015 is a bright splash of color to the eyes. We've seen some beautiful examples of this with neon green shadow or bright blue liner. Paired with a minimal face, it makes a beautiful statement and is surprisingly compatible with nearly any skincolor or eyecolor and totally wearable for day or night. Try it for yourself with Got Beauty MUA Shelby in six easy steps.
Step 1: Prime the Face
Start with a fresh face. Moisturize with Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream. Prime with Dermalogica Skinperfect Primer. Add your favorite foundation. (Swing by the Sugarhouse Shop for a free colormatch consultation.)
Step: Prep the Lids
Add a nude base shadow to the entire lid and right under the eyebrow. Shelby used POPS Pressed Eye Shadow in Bisque.
Step 3: Go BRIGHT on the Upper Lid
Boldly line the upper lid from inner to outer corner with a bright blue pencil. Shelby used POPS Tugless Eye Pencil in Myst. Grab an angle brush and get it slightly wet, then dip it in POPS Pressed Eye Shadow in Titanic and line the upper lid over your pencil with the blue powder to really bold and intensify your line.
Step 4: Add A Crease Color to the Lid
Add contour with a bronzy brown shadow in the crease of the lid and blend with your brush. Shelby used POPS Ultra Pearl Eye Shadow in RB Float.
Step 5: Go BRIGHT on the Lower LId
Lightly line the bottom lid just under the lashes with POPS Tugless Eye Pencil in Myst.
Step 6 Take it to an Evening Look with a Little Black
Adding a little black really makes your Peacock pop. Lightly line the top and bottom under your lashes with POPS Tugless Eye Pencil in Black. Then line the bottom water line of the eye with black. Add black mascara to the eyes to finish the look.
And here's your finished Electric Peacock Eye:
