In the business for 18 years, Amy is a gifted Got Beauty stylist who has earned her stripes. We had a conversation with her and learned how this hair guru and mother of two boys finds ongoing inspiration in her flourishing career.
"I love helping people who feel frustrated with their look and being part of a transformation. I feel like nothing else you can do creatively has such a tangible and quick response. That's probably what keeps me most inspired and keeps me in the industry. My favorite thing is to help clients create an entire look from hair to brows that not only improves the way they look but fits their personality and schedule so they can handle the styling that is required on their own and keep the look going. Over the years I've realized you can give someone the most amazing haircut but if they can't handle the styling it's probably not going to work for them. We are creatures of habit.
"The most inspiring experience in my career was with a longtime client who was diagnosed with skin cancer at the age of 23. I scheduled 25 haircuts with various clients and donated all the proceeds to a fund that helped her and her family with medical bills. It was good to be able to give back and to have the opportunity to help her and her family in that case."

Mascara combs! I hate ma'scarey' eyes.
My go-to hair product
Mythic Oil Milk is my favorite right now. It's a leave in conditioner spray with zero weight so it's good for even fine textured hair. It also has UV protectant and adds shine. I like to spritz it on my ends in the middle of the day to get rid of static and seal down the cuticle. You can grab it at the salon at Got Beauty.
