You don't have to be Cara Delevingne or Brooke Shields to mesmerize the world with your flawlessly bold brows. Whether your brows are naturally full or tend toward the timid side, this anyone-can-do-it bold brows tutorial will get you in gear for the eye popping look that's toned down just enough to be SFW.
Step 1: Prime the Face
Got Beauty makeup artist Michelle Perry started with Dermalogica Skinperfect Primer and Jane Iredale Glow Time for a minimal bare-faced look and glowing complexion. (Stop by the Sugarhouse Shop for a free color match consultation.)
Step 2: Prep the Brows
Next, using Jane Iredale's Bitty Brow Kit (available in Blonde and Brunette), she applied a small amount of brow wax over the whole brow. For more unruly brows, wax can also be applied after brow powder to help them stay put.
Step 3: Draw the Brow
Michelle used the angled brush to apply the brow powder from Jane Iredale's Bitty Brow Kit. She started at the arch of the brow and worked outward. "It's important to remember," says Michelle, "anywhere you put your brush down first will have the most product. When you are building your Bold brows fill in the natural brow first then start building from the top of the brow rather then under. You never want to bring the brow down. We always want to lift up." You can make the look a bit edgier and bolder by using the angled brush to brush center brow hairs upward.
And here are your finished Mighty Bold Brows:
You can easily adjust the boldness of the brow to suit any look you like. If you feel you need a little direction, stop by the shop for a free demo!
