How To Get Ready In 10 Minutes (Or Less)

get ready in 10 minutes or less

We've all experienced that fluke late morning. The clock is ticking, you've hit snooze about 13 times, and you've got 10 minutes until you have to leave. Showering is totally out of the question, and so is that early morning cup of coffee that gives you your much needed energy boost. With so little time, how is one supposed to fully get ready for an 8+ hour day? Have no fear, busy bodies - it can be done. Switch out the normal routine with these 3 steps, and we guarantee you'll be out the door in 10 (we'd even go with 5).

What You Normally Do: Wash your face.
What You Should Do Instead:
Makeup remover wipes.

Washing your face in the morning is super important. However, if you're on a time crunch, it may quickly sink to the bottom of your priority list. To keep your skin happy while staying on schedule, quickly wipe your face with a gentle makeup remover wipe of your choice.

What You Normally Do: Apply a full face of makeup.
What You Should Do Instead:
Substitute with the 3 key makeup essentials.

This one can take some getting used to, however you really don't need more than these three makeup essnetials when getting ready for your day:

Tinted Moisturizer

If getting some coverage is a morning must, apply your favorite go-to tinted moisturizer. This step alone has the power to make you look 10x more awake than you actually are.

Treat your lashes to a quick coat of mascara to make your eyes a little brighter, even if you can barely keep them open.

Tinted Lip Moisturizzer

After that, pucker up and apply your favorite tinted lip moisturizer. If you only have five minutes to get ready, you can get away with these essentials alone if you need to.

What You Normally Do: Wash and style your hair.
What You Should Do Instead:
Ye olde messy bun.

The good news for those in a late start is that messy buns will never go out of style. Grab some spin pins for literally the easiest, quickest, and cutest bun ever. If your hair is looking greasy, spritz in some dry shampoo and give it a quick brush prior to putting in your bun. No one will have any idea you woke up literally 20 minutes ago.

Fun Fact: If you're going on a last minute vacation and need to keep it light, these steps are more than enough to keep you looking glam in all the Instagram photos you'll be taking.
